Becoming a Member of Empower Credit Union
Becoming a member begins by meeting eligibility requirements and opening a share savings account. You must maintain a minimum of $25 in your Empower Share Savings Account in order to enjoy all the benefits and privileges offered by the credit union.
Eligibility
You must meet one of the following qualifications to become a member of Empower CU:
- You are employed by or retired from any of Empower’s member groups.
- You are a member of or employed by any of their eligible associations or organizations.
- Immediate family or household member of a current member.
- You live, work, worship or attend school in an area included in one of the credit union’s neighbor areas: City of Buffalo, City of Binghamton, City of Syracuse, Town of Geddes, City of Utica, Oswego County, Town of Cheektowaga, Town of Union, designated areas of Liverpool, Montgomery County and Village of New York Mills.
